TV chef celebrates 21 years in Coggeshall
Twenty one years ago British Master Chef Mark Baumann took over the reins of Langan’s Brasserie in Coggeshall, following the untimely death of his boss and friend Peter Langan.
Over the years Mark has taken the renamed Baumanns Brasserie from strength to strength, with regular media coverage and reviews in all the top food guides. He has recently published a book, Posh Food for the Common Man available at Waterstone's. And he is currently in the throws of setting up a local cookery school, offering courses for everyone from the complete novice through to the would-be Master Chef.
However, Mark believes his greatest achievement is the fact that the restaurant has such a strong local client base. "That’s our greatest achievement really. At the end of the day it is our customers that count – they are the people that come and judge us week in and week out."
